Dr. Simonelli is the creative force and luminary behind the Luminous Life Maps ™ System. Shannon has devoted more than 20 years of her professional research, education and practice to creating Luminous Life Maps™. Together with her innovative system, she has supported change in the lives of thousands of individuals, guiding them to personal transformations that change their lives. She has been named Salt Lake City’s 2017 Women Entrepreneur of the Year, profiled in the Deseret News for her innovative approach to Creative Arts Therapy and voted the 2018 Best Creative Arts Therapist in the Holladay City, a people’s choice award .
As a pioneer and change agent, Shannon has co-founded The NeuroImaginal™ Institute a home base for her innovative, neurologically based creative arts therapy for groups & private clients. She has been published by Nova Science Publishers and The Center on Disability Studies, UH Manoa.
Positive transformation has always been at the heart of Dr. Simonelli’s work. She taught for a decade in the Masters in Counseling Psychology Department at Chaminade University, and worked on state-wide education reform at University of Hawaiia at Manoa, Center on Disability Studies. She served as Director of the Expressive Therapies Department, University Neuropsychiatric Institute, Salt Lake City, Utah and Director of the Intensive Out Patient Treatment program for addicts in recovery, Aloha House, Maui, Hawaii. In 2008 and 2009 she received the Best in Honolulu award for psychotherapy, in 2018 and 2019 she received the Best in Holladay award for Creative Arts Therapy, both people’s choice awards.
